The improved SV50 makes animal control easy with its integrated solar panels and lithium battery, saving time and money while delivering years of trouble‑free service. With a powerful 5.0 Joule output, the SV50 is designed for demanding fencing applications and long fence lines under suitable conditions.*
With its robust solar mounting system, the SV50 can be securely installed on a suitable pole using the supplied mounting hardware, ensuring optimal solar exposure and reliable operation. The new design of the solar bracket, also allows the unit to be placed on the ground, placed on a star picket or fixed to a round pole with the supplied U-bolt.

- Sun Hours Per Day: The SV50 requires a minimum of 4 sun hours per day to keep the internal 12V 20Ah LiFePO4 battery charged. 5 sun hours or greater is recommended.
- Solar Panel Angle and Direction: The SV50 must be mounted so the solar panels face the equator (due north in Australasia, south in the northern hemisphere) and positioned to receive no shade on the panels between 10am and 4pm.
- Solar Panel Angle: The default solar panel angle is 45 degrees. This angle has been selected as the optimum angle to provide the best year‑round performance across a wide range of geographical locations.
