Moxistar® Long-Acting Injection for Sheep provides practical, long-lasting parasite control from a single injection, helping protect sheep during periods of high parasite challenge. Formulated with 20 mg/mL moxidectin, this long-acting injectable delivers sustained control of key internal parasites, reducing the need for frequent drenching and supporting improved flock health and productivity.
Containing moxidectin, a highly potent member of the macrocyclic lactone (ML) family, Moxistar® provides effective control of moxidectin-sensitive gastrointestinal roundworms, large lungworm, nasal bot (larval stages) and itch mite. It offers at least 91 days of persistent activity against Barber’s Pole worm (Haemonchus contortus) and Small Brown Stomach worm (Teladorsagia circumcincta), with up to 49 days of persistent activity against Black Scour worm (Trichostrongylus spp.). During periods of severe Barber’s Pole worm challenge, protection may extend for up to four months when used as directed.
The simple, low-stress subcutaneous injection makes administration quick and convenient, while the long duration of activity helps minimise handling, reduce labour requirements and maintain animal performance on highly contaminated pastures.
