Acatak 30mL Applicator ? (adjustable Pour-On) Suitable for use with Acatak Duostar (Elanco).
The Acatak 30mL Applicator has been developed to meet the requirements of strength and accuracy in harsh operating environments withstanding the often chemically aggressive nature of the products being administered. The need for operator comfort is paramount while continuously treating animals.
Products such as Acatak Duostar must be evenly applied without undue operator effort that causes fatigue. The Acatak 30mL Applicator is suitable for a wide range of sheep and cattle pour-on products, including cattle tickicides (Acatak, TickPro, Acatak Duostar, TickPro Duo, Wintix, Oztik etc). The delivery system is supplied with a fan spray nozzle for convenient application with less splatter and waste.”

- Re-treat when you first see ticks but not before at least six weeks after the previous treatment.
- Maximum number of treatments per annual tick season: 3.
- Apply the product in two bands, about 7 cm wide, one on each side of the spine between the rump and the shoulders.
- The weight of cattle should be determined by either scales or a weighband. Dose individuals according to the heaviest animal in the mob. DO NOT underdose.
- There is no need to treat calves for cattle tick as long as they suckle treated cows. Calves will receive adequate protection from their mother. A reduced length of protection may occur in cows which are suckling calves.
- Acatak™ should not be applied to show cattle as a light scurfiness may be visible for some time after treatment.
- Acatak™ is a tick development inhibitor and kills ticks progressively. It can take two to three weeks for cattle to be visibly free of ticks. No additional treatment is necessary during that time, even on heavily infested animals. The development inhibiting effect of Acatak™ commences within three days of treatment.
- Not suitable for cleaning cattle moving into gazetted cattle tick-free areas.
- Restraints
- DO NOT USE on cattle that are producing or may in the future produce milk for human consumption.
- FOR USE in QLD, NSW, WA & NT only.
