Under the Point of Sale eID tag discount scheme, South Australian sheep and goat producers will continue to have access to discounted, accredited, eIDs through to 2027.

The discount on White breeder electronic identification tags for sheep and goats ceases 31st Dec 2025. Orange tags are available with $0.47 discount per tag until 31 Dec 2026. Pink (Post Breeder) tags are not currently included in the POS Scheme.

Livestock producers can also apply for a rebate on non year of birth (POS) tags ie. not orange or pink (post breeder) tags. To obtain the rebate on the purchase price of eligible eID devices simply use your invoice as a receipt of purchase and apply online at the SA Gov website HERE. Find non subsidised tags HERE.

With a high quality RFID Transponder built into the stem this maximises read distance by pointing at 90 degrees to the tag/ear..

Supplied laser printed in accordance with NLIS requirements. Please note that colours and marking/printing may vary slightly in appearance from images shown.

The discount on White (2025) breeder electronic identification tags for sheep and goats is available with a $0.47 cents discount per tag until 31 December 2025. Pink (Post Breeder) tags are not currently included in the POS Scheme.
Orange (2026) EID sheep & goat tags for SA are now available with a 47.5 cent discount per tag until 31 December 2026. Lt Green (2027) tags shall be discounted between 1st Jan and 30 June 2027.

NLIS (Sheep and Goats) uses an electronic ear tag printed with a Property Identiﬁcation Code (PIC), an NLIS movement document which accompanies every mob of sheep or goats when they move, and the recording of all movements of sheep and goats in the NLIS database, to provide traceability.
